Nora Rocks!

We love craigslist! This rocking snail and Nora were destined for one another. Mama saw him posted for just $25 and the seller happened to live three blocks away! So she rushed right over, and came home with this happy little guy. He even has a trunk (for Nora's junk ... heh). Mostly, Nora likes to sit in front of him and laugh at his smiley mug, but they'll be rockin' it sooner or later.

Doesn't Nora look like she's 32 and about to get her PhD in this picture? Well, she does look awfully much older all of a sudden.



We've had a couple of questions about Nora's eye color, which is a little bit elusive in photographs and in real life. We'd check the "blue" box if we had to, but they're sometimes grey, and they definitely have flecks of brown scattered randomly throughout, if you look closely in the right light. They've stayed the same for a long time, so we're pretty sure they're going to stick this way. This photo (along with this one from a few months ago) captures those peepers fairly well - though who knows how they'll translate in light waves across cyberspace:
