rain, rain ...

It's 6:00p.m., the hour that should propel us through dinner and toward a bath, leading directly to pajamas, books, bed. But the rain pours down, and Nora says, "Wah-too? Walk! Walkie?" (Trans.: Water? Walk! Walking?)

It's chilly and late(ish), but Nora insists. So we go walking in the water. We talk about the sound of droplets on our coat hoods, we learn about the best splashy puddles. We wear layers, and the air is really pretty nice.

Rain? Blustery days? They can be good stuff. This small person in our house, with her careful, three-word exclamations, showed us the way.
