Nora first started telling us stories about four months ago, but we hadn't captured one on film until last night. We've been especially amused at her own custom ending -- foregoing "The End," and instead wrapping things up, usually, with "... and that's a story! Did you hear it?" This video doesn't capture that moment, but it's awfully sweet when it happens.
Pete the Squirrel (invented by Nonna) is a favored character -- he's the subject of her naptime lullabies, and her own narratives throughout the day. This video gives a little taste of what Pete was up to yesterday -- and reveals some of Nora's processing around getting bitten at preschool.
(You've got to get through some chatting about the tiny pumpkins, but we get to the tale eventually. Usually, Nora regales us without this question-and-answer scenario, just giving us an impromptu story -- especially when she's riding in the back seat. We'll try to capture that one of these days.)
