Nora's mama and her Uncle R have vivid memories of playing this game with their own dad - so it's perfectly fitting that Nora's Dada taught her how it's done. Last week, we caught her doing it all by herself as she rode along in her carseat - fingers linked together, popping her hands in and out of her mouth, humming. Totally cute, yup.
And by the way - Happy Nine Month Birthday, Nora! She's commando crawling - fast and far!; pulling herself to a kneeling position; stringing together her babbles ("Da da ma mmmm ba ba buh ptthhhh ..."); picking things up between her thumb and index finger (especially "O" cereal!); loving her flax-bread toast strips, pears with cinnamon and vanilla, pureed peas and rice, and lots more; crying inconsolably when she hears other babies cry; crying inconsolably if a new person (or the wrong person for that moment) gets too close - sorry little girl at Stumptown!; reaching up for people; and finally, finally, taking two long naps (almost) every day - and peacefully falling asleep on her own! We love you, Baby Girl.
