Little Spaces

Nora is preoccupied lately with finding little spaces that fit her just so, and filling them up with her things and herself. This copper bucket (featured in the recent blockbuster film, "Bucket Dance"), is one such nook. Climb in, climb out, find small object, climb back in, arrange small object (usually under butt), make noise of satisfied accomplishment, climb back out, find another small object, climb back in. Repeat.

The objects are (to us) random. Various toys, her entire collection of "babies," bits of torn up mail, mama's makeup brush, her coat. She stuffs them in and around herself, crafting a little nest, a little world that's hers to manipulate and populate.

Sock Monkey (courtesy Oma) is a good friend during these sessions. Quiet encouragement is his specialty.
