Nora's Journey Down the River

Mama bought the laundry basket during college, back when she had a burgundy and forest green theme to her room. There was a plaid duvet cover, birkenstocks with thick socks, three-ring binders full of notes on literary theory. Yeah.

This laundry basket has traveled far and wide. It's lived in probably a dozen places and carried everything from dirty socks to party booze. (Though not at the same time. As far as we can remember.) But only now has it reached its heydey ... Nora, you see, has christened it her boat, and made it clear that it shan't be moved from its anchor in the living room. Er, the river.
