Nora is thin on top.
This has been the source of some clucking and consternation. Bewilderment, too -- mama's family has thick, thick hair. Champion follicles. From where did this wispy-headed child spring? One look at Dada and you can see the Germans dominated the Italians in this round.
Nora has had exactly three "haircuts" in three years. These consist of pulling her strands into a pencil-thin ponytail, and cutting exactly once. And this, only to even out the ends.
On a whim, I decided that perhaps some straight edges would help tidy things up, moving Nora one step farther from the baby she was just yesterday, and catching her up to her headband- and barette-festooned friends.
It took a few dozen snips, and then ... bangs. A transformation, to be sure!
