Colorful, sturdy storybooks are rapidly replacing the bottom-shelf remnants of Mama's days as an English major - Kafka and Woolf, Chaucer and The Bard ... they're giving way to Potter (Beatrix) and Seuss, Scarry and Sendak. Dada's Planning and Control of Land Development Cases and Materials has moved aside to make room for The Napping House and Bug in the Garden.
And Nora loves them. Systematically, she yanks them off the shelf and builds a jumbly pile around her. Carefully, she pulls one from the stack, turns it over and around, and pries open the pages ...
