For the long-distance grandmas and grandpas ... a sampling of Nora-style scribbling ... it's kind of interesting (to us, at least) how particular and careful she is about each little mark and where's it's placed. The spirals, we think, come from her sharp interest in circles -- maybe she's trying to draw one? (It was the first shape she really identified, probably starting with the letter "O" - she started pointing it out on signs several months ago. For awhile, she'd hand us a crayon and say, "O? O?!" and get increasingly upset, whether we drew one or didn't. We never figured out what she was trying to tell us, with that ...)
