Happy Spring!

The morning began with a mad dash for eggs, secreted in corners and under couches. Make that "egg." Nora didn't get much past the very first one, which was filled with jelly beans. She determined that every piece of that sugar needed to be eaten before anything else happened. Chawing away on pink goo, she'd point nonchalantly at the other eggs as she saw them. "There's one, mama," [chew chew chew] "but I won't pick it up until allllll of these baby eggs are gone!"

Her basket was filled with stringing beads, a stuffed giraffe, and a small plastic squirrel. Mama spent the rest of the day voicing said squirrel. (He's Pete, of course.)

There was the most amazing brunch at Auntie and Ry-ry's house ... man, those people can cook. Asparagus scramble, magic pancake with lemon sugar, potato cakes, and the all important coffeeeeeee ...

It rained and rained and rained, so there were no backyard egg hunts. There was, however, a family nap. Yawn.

Happy spring, everyone!
