We've been slow to introduce "screen time." A few Elmo youtube clips here and there, animated ecards now and then, but that's it. Then the Sunday routine of Thomas the Tank Engine rooted itself -- 30 minutes, once a week.
But there wasn't a beloved character in Nora's life to which she had daily access, until a few months ago. We carefully broke the seal with Kipper ... and we all love him (and his friends!). The British accent, the sweet balance of flummox and joy, the simplicity of plot. (For example: Arnold loses his sippy cup in the woods. Pig and Kipper help him find it. A squirrel drops a nut on Kipper's head. The end.)
So it was especially fun to watch Nora and Owen partake in the evening Kipper sacrament, together. Plus, you can hear Owen say all kinds of words! And Nora being agreeable! Sweet babies.
