This one goes in the "Wonderful, but ... Huh?" file.
Nora's rich imaginary world includes lots of made-up words. Here, she got ahold of a small vase full of smooth glass "stones" and was intently arranging them on the floor of the kitchen. Asked what she was up to, she said, very seriously, "I'm making a sam-play-ploo."
A sam-play-ploo? Yup. Asked what this "sam-play-ploo" was for, she described a game in which you "jump in and then out."
After scrambling around for the camera, we were lucky enough to convince her to tell us the whole thing again (though by this time, she was distracted by getting her hand stuck in the vase).
Anyone want to come over for a game of sam-play-ploo?
*Watching this again, we hear her say something about "like the big kids, at my school." Could this be some version of hopscotch? Anyone ever heard of it?
