Our Little Firework

Nora's been sound asleep since just before the sun went down. As mama writes this post, there's not a sound from the bedroom -- despite the explosions outside. Next year, maybe ... maybe we'll take her down to the waterfront and watch her eyes get big at the site of all those colors in the sky.

She's all the excitement we needed, today. Beautiful, shining, unpredictable, sometimes spinning and sparking, other times twinkling softly ... and yeah, a little bit explosive. We oohhh and ahhh every single day. That's our girl. We're her audience, our eyes aglow.
